Bay Bridge Airport North Apron T-Hangar Development

This design-assist, 3-building, 24-unit T-hangar development included hangar construction, restrooms for tenants, sewer pump station, low-pressure force main, water utilities, and new electrical service. The project also included erecting a new free-standing tower for AWOS (automated weather observing system) equipment and directional boring commutation lines for associated data and power. The most important challenges were designing and installing the new building footings, which had to be cut into the existing apron pavement; and then installing the entire building on a 1% slope to follow the apron grade. Harper & Sons executed all these details in a neat and craftsman-like manner!
